Play & Games Areas
We’ve had questions about the basketball court at Church Lane, so to be clear: it isn’t being removed. A new, improved basketball facility is central to our proposals.
What we’re asking the community to decide is what that facility looks like. Two options:
- Option 1: A full caged Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) with a basketball court and football pitch
- Option 2: A basketball practice area plus outdoor gym equipment, in-ground trampolines, and social seating for older young people
Both keep basketball at Church Lane. Have a look below and tell us what you think.

Following feedback from the previous round of public consultations, we have created an exciting play space that delivers the most popular items. This includes a large multi-play equipment featuring a slide and climbing components, a climbing wall, springy-disks for bouncing, an accessible roundabout, imaginative tee-pee huts, and a swing.
